So I finally saw The Velvet Teen for the first time, in Boston on 10/16/11. I was too busy screeching like a gleeful harpy to take many photos, and of course goddamn Matthew spent the entire show hiding behind his synths and shit so I don’t have any of him rocking out.
It was an incredible show and I even got a song dedication, which just goes to show you that the internet can do magical things if you’re completely fucking crazy enough. And a couple of dudes behind me kept making awestruck comments about the grizzliness of Josh’s beard.
I’ll be catching them again in Richmond, VA on 10/20/11, so if you’re at that show, keep an eye out for a funny-looking short girl with tattoos who is drunkenly slam-dancing in the front row. That’d be me.
